Elizabeth Gilbert is an American journalist and author. She is best known for her 2006 memoir Eat, Pray, Love, which chronicled her journey around the world after her divorce and which was later adapted into a film starring Julia Roberts. The book spent 199 weeks on the New York Times Best Seller list.
